1 Corinthians 9:26 (NKJV) “Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air.”
We have the choice to purse the dreams that God places within our hearts. But those dreams cannot be pursued lazily or lackadaisically. They have to be pursued with great determination and discipline.
Without certain important virtues our dreams of greatness will remain just at the dream level.
Here are three things to do to make your dreams become a reality:
1. Be committed.
“Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all.” – 1 Timothy 4:15 (NKJV)
When you find the path for your dreams, commit yourself totally to it. Commit yourself to the process and the hard work that is required for you to achieve what you are pursuing. No one becomes great without wholehearted commitment and devotion.
2. Don’t take shortcuts.
Anything that promises a quick-fix solution, without any genuine effort, does not offer lasting promise; don’t go for it. Even Jesus avoided the shortcut into His ministry when John the Baptist offered it: “But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him.” – Matthew 3:15 (NKJV)
Even if you feel desperate because your situation keeps worsening, do not allow the temptation for easy solutions to draw you. Short-cuts are normally labyrinths in disguise.
3. Build useful relationships.
If you want to go far in life, you need strategic relationships. Proverbs 27:17 (NKJV) says,
“As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.”
Your appearance, attitudes and disposition are daily being influenced by those you closely associate with. You are either getting sharper or getting worse everyday. If you desire to move from just dreaming into manifestation, you must associate with people who challenge you and add value to your life.
Precious one, if you will be committed, avoiding shortcuts, and building useful relationships, surely you will see your dreams of greatness become a reality.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, give me the wisdom I need to make my dreams become a reality, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
