John 21:6 NKJV
6And He said to them, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some."So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.
In this powerful message, we learn the significance of hearing and obeying God’s voice. The story of Apostle Peter in today’s reading reminds us that when we listen to God and follow His instructions, we experience success, harmony, fulfilment, and victory. God is speaking to us today, and it is crucial that we are attentive and receptive to His voice.

Here are three ways by which God speaks to us:

1. God speaks to us through His Word
The Bible is a direct communication from God to us. When we read and study His Word, we are hearing His voice. Psalms 19:7 Kjv
7The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
2 Timothy 3:16 Kjv
16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
It is important to note that God’s voice is always consistent with His Word.

2. God speaks to us through His Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit often communicates with us. Romans 8:14-16 Kjv
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.   15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.   16The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
He speaks to our hearts in a quiet yet compelling manner. It is essential to cultivate a sensitivity to His leading.

3. God speaks to us through other people
God can use pastors, preachers, teachers, as well as our families, friends, and relatives to speak to us. Hebrews 3:13 NKJV
13but exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today,"lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Their words may serve as affirmation, encouragement, or even a warning. Precious one, when God speaks, we are faced with a choice: accept and obey or deny and retreat. Our breakthrough lies in God’s voice. Therefore, let us be sensitive to hear when He is speaking and obediently follow His instructions.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that you remove any barriers hindering me from hearing Your voice. Speak to me today, and I will obediently follow. In Jesus’ name, amen.

John 3:36 Kjv
36He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
