Listen To His Voice

John 2:5 "His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it."

In the opening scripture, Mary, the mother of Jesus, advised the servants at a wedding ceremony to listen to Jesus. God expects us to listen to His voice because in His voice is direction, counsel and supply. We cannot be His servants yet refuse to listen to His voice. If the sheep refuse to listen to its shepherd, they will surely go astray. In the same way, if we refuse to listen to His voice, we will go astray.

Here are three ways of hearing His voice:

1. Do not harden your heart.

Hebrews 3:7-8 (NLT) "That is why the Holy Spirit says, "Today you must listen to his voice. Don't harden your hearts against him as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested God's patience in the wilderness."

Hardening your heart will impede your hearing His voice. As God speaks to you through the pages of Scripture, you must not hesitate to receive His Word with gladness and obey His voice. Do not harden your heart.

2. Listen to inspirational messages and take advice.

Proverbs 15:31-32 (CEB) "The ear that listens to life-giving correction dwells among the wise. Those who refuse discipline despise themselves, but those who listen to correction gain understanding."

Receive divine wisdom and counsel for life by listening to inspirational messages if you want to hear His voice. Life-giving corrections, as stated in the scripture above, make us dwell among the wise hence, the need to attend to the preached Word of God.

3. Read the Bible every day.

Joshua 1:8 "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."

Precious one, if you want to hear His voice then do not hardened your heart, listen to inspirational messages and take advice. In addition to this, read the Bible every day.
