Colossian 2:3 [Christ] In Whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Automaker Henry Ford asked electrical genius Charlie Steinmetz to build generators for his factory. One day the generators ground to a halt, and the repairman couldn’t find the problem. So Ford called Steinmetz, who tinkered with the machines for a few hours and then threw the switch. Bam! The generators whirred to life. But Ford got a bill for $10,000 from Steinmetz. Shocked, the rather tightfisted car maker inquired why the bill was so high. Steinmetz replied, “For tinkering with the generators, $10. For knowing where to tinker, $9,990.” Ford paid the bill.

Knowledge and wisdom are indispensable when it comes to wealth creation. We can remember God in our prosperity by sowing seeds, paying our tithes and giving our offerings. Ford’s lack of wisdom and knowledge in that field caused him to pay such a huge sum in repairs. In the same vein, knowledge and wisdom are indispensable when it comes to wealth creation. In today’s scripture we are told that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge reside in Him. We need to know the following three things:

1. Laziness equals poverty. Slothfulness produces a life of poverty. The Bibles says in Proverbs 6:10-11,

“A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep—So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, And your need like an armed man.”

Poverty is inevitable with an attitude of laziness.

2. It is the Lord who gives us power to get wealth. We are commanded in Deuteronomy 8:11 not to forget God after we have tasted and experienced wealth because (as verse 18 tells us) it is God who gives us power to get wealth. As a Christian God is going to feed you until you are well satisfied. And we must remember God after this. We can remember God in our prosperity by sowing seeds, paying our tithes and giving our offerings.

3. Don’t stop giving because of phonies
One key to wealth creation is giving consistently and generously. Don’t be discouraged from doing the right thing because there are phonies out there. They are actually the proof that there are also originals. Besides, you are giving to God and not to men.

Precious one, as Christians we should be aware that knowledge and wisdom for wealth creation is from God for it is God that gives us power to make wealth.
