Welcome to the Covenant day of Favour. By way of beginning, I would like you to know that the Bible is a book of covenants. And what is a Covenant? A Covenant is a deal enacted by God based on well-defined terms and sealed with an oath. It is a deal enacted by God based on well-defined terms and sealed with an oath.
That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Hebrews 6:12-18
An oath is the end of ALL strife. So a covenant is a deal sealed by an oath, God swearing by his integrity. If you fulfil your part of the deal, you have committed God's integrity to perform - that's what a covenant is! We don't serve a promise-keeping God, we serve a covenant-keeping God.
My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. Psalms 89:34
How to upgrade a promise or a blessing into a Covenant? Therefore, every Blessing of Scripture has conditions attached to it and when the conditions of a promise (a blessing) is fulfilled, it becomes a covenant. So it is fulfilling your part that causes a covenant with God. So it is important for us to know that EVERY provision in Scriptures has conditions to be met before they are released. And when those conditions are met, EVERY promise is UPGRADED to a Covenant that makes it binding on God to perform.
Think of Salvation: as free as it appears, you can not take delivery until you repent. If you are too big to repent, you are too big to be saved.
Think of Healing:
thy faith has made thee whole... Mark 5:34
So for you to be healed, faith is a non-negotiable requirement. Even Jesus could not heal them beyond the level of their faith. He could there do no mighty work and the lame were still lame and the crippled still crippled yet He had the anointing without measure and is the Messiah sent from God and He marvelled at their unbelief. So the anointing does not determine your healing, it is your faith that does. The word of God is self-anointed. It is your faith that draws from that Healing from the book.
What does it take for me to take delivery of God's Favour in my life?A Covenant is a deal that places a demand on you to fulfil your part before God can be committed to his part. A Covenant is NOT a promise you bombard God to fulfil. It is a deal that places a demand on you to fulfil your part before God can be committed to his part. Jeremiah 33:20-25 shows clearly that we serve a covenant-keeping God. Now Favor is one of the provisions of God's kingdom BUT what does it take for me to take delivery of God's favour in my life? And nothing adds flavour to life like Favour. Favour is what adds flavour to a man's life. It enhances your human dignity. It adds value to your life. It eradicates your sweat to increase your sweetness.
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalms 30:5
So EVERYONE's life is a function of the favour of God at work in his life. So it is God's favour that determines the limit of our future. In his favour is life ... The quality of every man's life is a function of the favour of God at work in him.
Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard. Proverbs 13:15
The word "Transgressors" there can also be interpreted as "ignorant". The way of the ignorant is hard. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (ignorance) not the lack of knowledge of what they want but of what is required for it to be delivered.
Blessing is the cure for curses and Favour the cure for misfortunes. Just like Blessing is the cure for curses, so also Favour is the cure for all forms of misfortunes. So the spell of misfortune is swallowed up by the flow of His Favour. You can NOT have God's favour at work on your life and misfortune at work at the same time. Wherever light steps in, darkness steps out. So when God's Favour flows in, misfortune flows out. That means today marks the end of the era of misfortunes in your life.
