Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
God has an intention and a purpose for everyone. There is a supreme end for which you were called by God Himself to become one of His beloved children and leaders. Walking in that purpose and overcoming the fiery array of the opposition’s arsenal depends on the attitude towards the assignment for your life.
You were born to be a winner. Understanding the dynamics of life in this context will help you to stay focused on the one thing you have to do – keeping a fix on the purpose for which God has called you.
You can focus on your greater purpose as you do the following:
1. Cut off ill relationships
People who deliberately cause you to stray away from God’s path must be cut off from your life. “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, not sitteth in the seat of the scornful.” (Psalms 1:1).
2. Break through every resistance
You are bound to face opposition in your pursuit of God’s calling. It is important to reject the opposition which comes your way through steadfast prayer and faith. Furthermore, do not share your vision with just anyone; there are people who can kill your vision through discouragement and frustration. Make it a point to be cautious of your advisors and seek godly counsel. You will break through!
3. Do not be easily distracted
Maintain your focus and fix your eyes on the promises of God. He who has called you will see you through. It may not be easy, but you will never walk alone, because God is with you.
Precious one, as you commit to walking in purpose, know that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to focus on the purpose You have given me. In Jesus’ name. Amen
