Psalm 75:6 “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from west, nor from south”.
In 1996, when Dr. Cerullo held a conference in Ghana, he received an invitation to see the president. I was in my hotel room when he sent for me to speak in his place at the crusade. I was confused because all the big men of God were around, and yet I was the one he invited. I had been hiding, but God brought me out and put me on the platform!
That is God’s promotion. You must not fight or strive to be promoted by man.
In fact, God will promote you to the place He has for you no matter your circumstances. This is because He knows where you are, and He will exalt you in due season. He is the lifter up of our heads.
How can you position yourself for God’s exaltation or promotion? Let us look at three ways to do that:
1. Be obedient
Obedience will position you for God’s exaltation.
The Bible says in Deuteronomy 28:2(NKJV), “And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God”.
2. Be humble
God lifts those who are humble and not those who are full of themselves.
In 1 Peter 5:6 (NKJV), the Scripture advises us, “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time”.
3. Be a servant
Serve your way to the top. If you want to be great, you must learn to serve. Jesus told His disciples in
Matthew 20:26 (NKJV), “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant”.
Precious one, just position yourself for God’s promotion and in due time you will see yourself at the top.
Prayer : Heavenly Father, as I position myself through obedience, humility and servanthood, cause my promotion to surface in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
