1 Corinthians 16:9 (NKJV) “For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.”
Flying is the best method of motion; it is faster and usually safer than road transport. However, before you can fly, there is a major force you must overcome: the force of gravity.
The force of gravity is a force that pulls down anything that goes up. Although this force operates in the physical realm, there is a similar force operating in the spiritual realm.
Here are three main areas that can pull you down spiritually as you attempt to climb up or fly:
1. Living In Sin. Sin is a force that can pull down anyone attempting to climb the ladder of greatness. Sin will sink your glorious destiny if you entertain it. It does not have respect for position or title. If you toy with it, down you go. The Bible says in Hebrews 12:1 (NKJV), “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us”. If you desire to soar in this life, break camp with sin.
2. Sickness and disease
Oftentimes, people want to get up and fly for the Lord, but sickness and disease pull them down. In John 5:2-9, a man was held back for 38 years, limited and restricted by lameness. Do you desire to accomplish great things for your Master, and yet find that sickness or disease is holding you back? In the name of Jesus, that force of sickness and disease operating in your life is being broken right now!
3. Poverty. Another force that could keep an individual from flying is poverty. The man born lame as recorded in Acts 3:1-8 was not only incapacitated by his inability to walk, but also by poverty; hence he begged all his life for alms until the day he was healed. From today, may every yoke of poverty in your life break in the mighty name of Jesus.
Precious one, develop a holy anger against the force of sin, sickness, and poverty; and seek righteousness, healing, and God-given wealth through Jesus Christ, and your life will only move forward.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, frustrate every gravitational power meant to hinder my motion in Jesus’ name.
