«...for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.» Jonah 4:2

#1. God is a Merciful God. Mercy is, not giving someone the punishment they deserve. God does NOT enjoy giving punishment to people.

#2. God is Gracious. God gives people more good than they deserve. That means that God wants to do even more good to the sinner.

#3. God is of Great Patience. Which means God is not in hurry to punish the sinner. He is waiting, waiting, waiting..

#4. God is of Great Kindness. God wants to do Good, show acts of compassion.

#5. God repents of the evil. Which means God easily forgives. But He only easily forgives WHEN THE SINNER CHANGES HIS MIND. Immidiately the sinner changes his mind, God is on the edge of his seat, waiting to forgive the sinner, and this, is supposed to motivate us to evangelise.  As for God, God is willing. He doesn't want the sinner to be punished. That is why we must win souls. This is our season of soul winning. But we also have a responsability. God will change his mind if the sinner will repent. But the sinner will not repent if a message is not preached.
