READ: Matthew 6:22,23
«The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.» - Matthew 6:22
What you see greatly affects you. You remember what you see even more than what you hear. «I long to see you» are the words of apostle Paul. Why did he long to see the people? He wanted to impart to them some spiritual gift. Anytime you are in the presence of an anointed person, expect to experience the anointing. What you see greatly affects you. You remember what you see even more than what you hear. Throughout the Bible, people are encouraged to be vigilant and to remain awake. Why is that? Having eyes wide open, being alert is essential to receiving the anointing.
Jesus said, «The light of the body is the eye…» (Matthew 6:22). This Scripture shows us that your eye is a channel through which light or darkness will enter into your body. The power of God that will enter you through your eye is a light. If your eye is looking for a fault, it will see mistakes and shortcomings and you will be filled with evil spirits. If your eye is full of admiration, you will receive the power and the anointing of God.
The Bible says, «And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so» (2 Kings 2:9,10).
The mystery of impartation of the anointing occurs when you SEE the anointed.
