Refuse Grasshopper Talk. Moses sent 12 men to spy on the land of Canaan. Ten of the spies came back speaking words of defeat. «We're nothing. We are like grasshoppers next to those huge giants.» These ten were grasshoppers. However, the remaining two were giant-killers. Joshua and Caleb refused grasshopper talk. Instead they declared, «We are well able to overcome the giants.» God gave them the land.
«And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying...And there we saw the giants...and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight,» Numbers 13:32-33
