And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:23-24

God wants us to have the best He has put here on earth (Matthew 7:11) because He cares for His children. As such, He has given us the power of attorney to demand everything that is ours. So our prayer is not a religious ritual or rite.

However, we can only exercise this power in the place of prayer. And the kind of prayer that achieves results must be on the basis of God’s word. Anything contrary is equivalent to praying religiously, which has no power to make a difference.

If your prayer is going to be effective, it is important to:

#1. Stand on God’s Word.
“Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified” (Isaiah 43:26). God is not a man that He should lie. He honours His Word, and you must come to Him according to what it says.

#2. Activate angelic assistance as you pray.
“Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” (Hebrews 1:14). Angels are often assigned when God’s people pray; and when we activate their assistance, they help to enforce our requests.

#3. Put on the armour of God.
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” (Ephesians 6:11). As we put on the whole armour of God, we are able to not only defend ourselves but also attack our adversary through prayer. Therefore put on your armour!

Precious one, as you stand your ground through prayer, may you achieve great results!
