Matthew 7:7 (NKJV) “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”

Prayer is a sacred place of labour and intense communication with God. God promises us in His Word that through prayer our requests will be granted. The opening scripture reveals to us three dimensions of prayer: asking, seeking, and knocking.

Prayer boosters are scriptural activities that help us enter into these three dimensions of prayer for reinforcement. They are not supplementary to prayer but rather complementary. Reinforcements in prayer are essential because there are some oppositions that may not answer to the current level of our faith in prayer, and overcoming such oppositions requires building up stronger spiritual energy to deal with them.

Here are three prayer boosters to employ for more results:

1. Fasting. After emphasizing the role of faith in dealing with oppositions, Jesus further explained to His disciples saying,

“However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” (Matthew 17:21, NKJV)

A combination of prayer, faith, and fasting will bring strong opposition into submission. The purpose of fasting is not to beg or force God to act, neither is it to impress Him but rather, it is a spiritual discipline that empowers you with the unction needed to deal with the issues facing you.

2. Praying in the Spirit. In Ephesians 6:18, the Bible directs us to pray,

“always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit”

because we do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against diverse ranks of spiritual forces.

For this reason, Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit to help us transcend the physical realm of weakness and limitations in prayer. When we engage the help of the Holy Spirit in prayer, we will experience tremendous breakthroughs in our Christian life because
the Spirit of God will enable us to pray according to the precise will of God.

3. Pleading your case. In Isaiah 43:26 (NKJV) God tells us,

“Put Me in remembrance; Let us contend together; State your case, that you may be acquitted.”

God has given us the privilege of putting Him in remembrance of His promises and arguing out our case before Him based on those promises. Also, when we put God in remembrance of biblical testimonies and the testimonies of those around us, He will rise upon us with favor because He is faithful and no respecter of persons.

Precious one, let us continue to make use of fasting, praying in the Spirit, and pleading our case to boost our prayers as a strategy for spontaneous answers.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, as I fast and pray in the Spirit, give me wisdom and spiritual understanding to also plead my case before Your throne so that I may experience speedy answers to prayer, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
