Acts 2:46-47 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Every true church is expected to grow in numbers and capacity over time. Church growth is a subject worth considering today; it is not a mystery, as some may think. The church remains the haven in which souls are saved, nursed and kept. As such, it should be a priority for all believers.

The church can grow legitimately in different ways:

1. Internal growth is the grounding of the people in the things of God. As the people in the church grow in the things of God, it automatically leads to church growth;
2. Conversion and evangelistic growth are crucial sources of church growth;
3. External or financial growth is an increase in the resources of the church. Every church needs money to grow;
4. When babies are born into the church and they automatically become members, it is known as biological growth. This type of growth, while legitimate, should not be the only form of growth churches aspire to;A church can grow through the transfer of people. However, deliberately luring members of other churches to your church is wrong.
5. As believers, we are mandated to be fruitful and church growth falls within that mandate. Let us remain committed to playing our role in growing the Body of Christ.

Prayer:Father, as we take our place as ambassadors for Christ, may we experience unprecedented growth in our churches to populate heaven and depopulate hell.
